Industrial IoT & Automation: RAIVENS products in use
Solution

Industrial IoT & Automation

Data loggers, wireless sensors and remote controllers that connect machines, meters and pumps to live dashboards and alerts.

In one sentence

Raivens Industrial IoT & Automation is a set of PLC and IoT data loggers, wireless sensors and GSM/4G controllers, designed and built in-house, that connects machines, meters and pumps to cloud dashboards and alerts for factories, utilities, water and solar plants, and farms.

Data trapped in machines

PLCs and meters hold useful readings, but someone has to walk the floor to see them, so problems surface late.

Remote sites, no visibility

Pumps, water plants and solar sites sit far from the control room, and faults go unnoticed until they cost money.

Off-the-shelf rarely fits

Generic devices miss specific needs, and a custom product means coordinating separate PCB, firmware, cloud and app vendors.

How it fits together

From first touch to live operations

  1. STEP 01

    Sensors and PLCs

Existing PLCs, energy meters and transmitters, plus Raivens wireless sensors, measure the process.

  2. STEP 02

    Data logger

A DIN-rail gateway reads devices over Modbus RTU or TCP and its own inputs, buffering data during outages.

  3. 3
    STEP 03

    Cloud dashboard

Data travels over 4G, Ethernet or Wi-Fi using MQTT or HTTP to live and historical dashboards.

  4. STEP 04

    Alerts and automation

Threshold alerts notify the team, and GSM/4G controllers start or stop pumps and motors remotely.

What is industrial IoT and automation?

Industrial IoT and automation connect machines, meters, pumps and sensors to the cloud, so teams can see what is happening and act from anywhere. Raivens builds industrial IoT hardware in-house: Modbus data loggers for PLCs and meters, wireless sensors, GSM/4G pump and motor controllers and custom IoT devices, along with the dashboards and alerts that go with them.

The product range

  • PLC & IoT data loggers: DIN-rail gateways that read PLCs, energy meters and sensors over Modbus RTU and TCP and send data over 4G, Ethernet or Wi-Fi, with local buffering during outages.
  • IoT-based products: GSM/4G pump and motor controllers, gas, temperature and door sensors, LOCKZEE smart alarms, LoRa networks and custom IoT product development.

From sensor to action

  1. Sense. PLCs, meters, transmitters and wireless sensors measure the process.
  2. Collect. The data logger reads each device and buffers data if the network drops.
  3. See. Cloud dashboards show live and historical values across sites.
  4. Act. Alerts reach the team, and GSM/4G controllers start or stop pumps and motors remotely.

A project can start with one data logger on one panel and grow to more machines and sites as needs expand. Where no ready device fits, the same team builds a custom IoT product, from PCB and firmware to cloud, apps and manufacturing.

Built for factories, utilities, water and solar

Setting Typical data Result
Factories Machine status, production counts, energy per line Stoppages seen as they happen
Utilities Remote meters, pumping stations Fewer trips for routine readings
Water treatment Flow, level, pressure, pump status Alerts when values leave their range
Solar plants Inverter and meter output Generation tracked across sites
Farms and water supply Pump run status Pumps switched from a phone

Why Raivens

Since 2012, Raivens has designed electronics, firmware, cloud platforms and apps in-house, and it manufactures, tests and supports what it builds, including installation. Raivens has served 15,000+ clients and delivered 1,200+ projects in 8+ countries. One team owns the path from field device to dashboard, which keeps projects simple to manage. Compliance documentation per model is available on request.

FAQ

Common questions

What is industrial IoT?

Industrial IoT, or IIoT, connects industrial equipment such as PLCs, energy meters, pumps and sensors to the internet, so their data can be monitored, stored and acted on remotely. A typical system has field devices, a gateway or data logger, a cloud platform with dashboards, and alerts or remote controls. Raivens builds the gateways, sensors and controllers in-house and sets up the dashboards that go with them.

Can the system connect to the PLCs and meters we already have?

Usually, yes. Raivens data loggers read devices over Modbus RTU on RS485 and Modbus TCP on Ethernet, which many PLCs, energy meters, inverters and transmitters support. Digital and analog inputs cover equipment without a Modbus port. If a PLC does not expose a needed value in its Modbus registers, a small change to the PLC program may be required.

What happens if a site loses its network connection?

The PLC & IoT data logger keeps reading devices and stores the values locally. When the 4G, Ethernet or Wi-Fi link returns, it uploads the buffered data, so dashboards stay complete. Buffer capacity depends on the model and the logging interval, and Raivens sets the interval during setup to suit each site.

Can Raivens develop a custom IoT device for us?

Yes. Raivens takes custom IoT products from idea to production in-house: electronics and PCB design, embedded firmware, cloud platform, web and mobile apps, manufacturing, testing, installation and after-sales support. Working with one team reduces handoffs between vendors and keeps hardware, firmware and software in step as the product evolves.

Which industries use Raivens industrial IoT solutions?

Factories use industrial IoT to track machine status and energy per line. Utilities collect remote meter and equipment data. Water treatment plants log flow, level and pump status with alerts. Solar plants read inverters and meters to monitor generation. Farms and water suppliers switch pumps from a phone with GSM/4G controllers. Raivens adapts the same building blocks to each setting, from a single panel to many sites.
